Silver Fox Lavender Farm
Silver Fox Lavender Farm is situated on 13 acres of prime, mountain-view landscape in the heart of the Rockfish Valley. Previously owned by a landscaping company, the Farm is adorned with beautiful butterfly bushes and large rows of crepe myrtle trees, which show off heavy pink and white blooms during the summer months. Steve and Suzanne Groves have transformed the property to a lavender oasis, offering a calm and peaceful space to say your vows.
Adjacent to the lavender fields, Steve hand-built a majority of the French Country-style Event Barn, which includes handcrafted farmhouse tables, arbors and even a carved mantelpiece over the fireplace. There have been significant upgrades over the past 5 years to transform the Farm into a place that welcomes everyone, and a place where Suzi and Steve hope many new beginnings may flourish.
Capacity: The Event Barn itself can hold a maximum of 125 guests inside. However, with expansive property and many ideally flat locations, couples are welcome to design and rent tents and equipment to host larger parties.
Blooms You’ll Find: Of course, couples will find the lavender fields on the farm. These plants will bloom toward mid-June and last through early July, weather dependent. They can also find several butterfly bushes and hydrangeas greeting them as they arrive at the barn. Last but not least are the stunning rows of crepe myrtle trees. During the winter, you may not expect much from them, but as soon as spring hits, waxy, dark green leaves arrive on the trees and, by mid-summer, they boast large and colorful blooms. One row lining the farm’s side yard blooms a dark pink, and the larger hedge of crepe myrtles along the creek that frame one of their most popular ceremony spots displays white blooms. There is also space between the white crepe myrtles to design a wonderful, woodsy vision for your ceremony or even seated dinner, with intimate bistro lighting and long, inviting guest tables.
