In my job as an editor for numerous publications, I make decisions daily—even hourly—and it doesn’t really faze me. A story falls through and we need to pivot quickly? Easy. Should we use this photo or that one on the cover? No big deal.
But as I learned during the planning of our wedding (almost eight years ago now—yikes), do not even ask me what kind of flowers I want…or which type of veil would look best…or how many kinds of wine to offer.
I. Don’t. Know.
Decisions are especially hard when they are tied to what is supposed to be one of the best days of your life. No pressure, right?

Our feature wedding at West Manor is straight out of a fairy tale—complete with the horse-drawn carriage entrance that’s every girl’s dream. Hear more from newlyweds Zach and Evelyn Clinton and how they went about planning their special day.
We are also excited to highlight two incredible styled shoots so you can continue to learn more about all of the fabulous local wedding vendors and businesses in this area. Look for “Urban Romance” and “Daylight,” starting on page 36.
Another highlight is our Wedding Trend Report (page 18), which gives you an overview of what’s hot and what’s not-as-much with weddings right now. In chatting with local event planners, we are excited about where the industry is headed.
So sit back, prop up your feet, and take a mental break from all of that pressure to make decision after decision. We did the homework for you so that you can enjoy what really matters right now—looking forward to spending your life with the one you love.
