Whether you want an urban celebration with cityscape scenery, a rural soiree with a Blue Ridge backdrop, or a wedding experience that falls somewhere in between, there’s a little something for everyone in Central Virginia.
In fact, local economic development leaders have taken steps in recent years to promote the region as a wedding destination to out-of-towners, touting our gorgeous mountain views and range of options for all wedding styles and budgets as well as a plethora of regional vendors.

So, when the pandemic put events on hold for most of 2020 and beyond, the impact to this industry was devastating. Livelihoods were turned upside down. Many were able to hang on by a thread while some had to make difficult decisions about how to proceed.

Of course, couples also suffered during this unprecedented time, postponing the start of their new lives together or settling for a much smaller event with so many important people missing from the guest list.

We weathered the storm along with you in our own way. Now, as we slowly emerge from this global health crisis, our Central Virginia Bridal Guide team is grateful to make it to the other side of history with all of you as we release our 2021 publication that is as positive and practical as possible, without knowing exactly when event restrictions will be lifted.
From finding your wedding style to adding your own nostalgic touches, you can apply the advice and ideas found within these pages to larger celebrations or small gatherings. We also never attempt to be flash-in-the-pan trendy. Classic and timeless has always been our goal.

Here’s to a year ahead that hopefully includes a lot more normalcy and a lot less uncertainty—especially when it comes to planning a future together.

All My Best,
